Heads up Mice and Mystics fans, your dreams may be about to come true, Dreamworks is looking at a movie adaptation of the 2012 game. DreamWorks Animation is said to be in final negotiations to bring the popular RPG board game to the big screen, with “Alexandre Aja attached to direct and co-write the script with “Aquaman” scribe David Leslie Johnson. Vertigo Entertainment’s Roy Lee and Jon Berg are producing”.

A Mice and Mystics Dreamworks movie? YES PLEASE!!

“Mice and Mystics” is a role-playing game [sic] in which players are loyal to the king –- but to escape the clutches of the evil Vanestra, they have been turned into mice imprisoned in a seaside castle. They face countless adversaries such as rats, cockroaches, and spiders, and the castle’s house cat, Brodie.

We all know the game and it’s great to see board games making headway into what is generally seen as mainstream. We’ll be following this one closely.
