Animal Crossing Amiibo Festival – Digital Game
It’s been E3 2015 this week, that’s the Electronic Entertainment Expo, an annual trade fair for the video game industry. It’s a massive event that focuses on video games. Well though we play video games, we’re all about tabletop gaming, however we do cover any big digital tabletop gaming news and the release of “Animal Crossing Amiibo Festival” is just that.

“Animal Crossing” is a game franchise that’s appeared on various video gaming formats, including Gamecube, Wii and Nintendo DS. The game is usually a life simulation, but this latest offering is a board game, an odd departure, but one we thought might interest you.

“Animal Crossing Amiibo Festival” seems to be quite similar to another digital board game by Nintendo, that being “Mario Party”. Released for WiiU console, “Animal Crossing Amiibo Festival” utilises Amiibos, collectible playing pieces that work similarly to Skylanders, that is, you tap them on the control screen and it adds elements to the actual game. That’s them in the banner at the top of the post, pretty cute pieces.

There’s not a lot more information out about “Animal Crossing Amiibo Festival”, though it is slated for a “holiday 2015” release.
