So here’s why we care about this news story, “Behind the Throne” was designed by Oleksandr Nevskiy and Oleg Sidorenko (“Mysterium”, “Pirates of the 7 Seas” and “My Happy Farm”). Ahh that got your attention didn’t it folks?

Ares Games and Ukrainian games publisher IGames have made a deal in which Ares will publish “Behind the Throne” in summer 2016 (that’s June – September window fellow Aussies, not our summer).

In Behind the Throne, an engaging “push your luck” card game, secret organizations are fighting for the right to rule over the Old Kingdom. Those who are struggling for power in the shadow of the royal throne are used to intrigues, blackmails and threats. The more servants, nobles and dignitaries they control – represented by the cards -, the closer to the goal they are. Players collect sets of cards getting special abilities and victory points. Various abilities make it easier to collect the cards, and victory points determine the winner.
