A 2-year-old reviews viking board game Blood Rage:
Today our two-year-old board game reviews Mister Jaxon is looking at "Blood Rage". It's a heavy strategic title, but is there anything there for someone of few years?
In Blood Rage, each player controls their own Viking clan’s warriors, leader, and ship. Ragnarök has come, and it’s the end of the world! It’s the Vikings’ last chance to go down in a blaze of glory and secure their place in Valhalla at Odin’s side! For a Viking there are many pathways to glory. You can invade and pillage the land for its rewards, crush your opponents in epic battles, fulfill quests, increase your clan's stats, or even die gloriously either in battle or from Ragnarök, the ultimate inescapable doom.
From an adult perspective “Blood Rage” has been a little hit and miss with us. Some in our group think it’s great, a couple found it dragged a little and though it’s admittedly a well made game, it just missed something, somewhere with them.
That’s not to say it’s a bad game, it’s a really nice game, just wait for it to go on sale like we did (Aussie RRP is around $130, we got ours on sale for half that, thus making it an extremely worthwhile purchase).
See the mighty battle wipe out Gods and vikings alike, in Mister Jaxon's review of board game Blood Rage.
