Call of Cthulhu LCG set to eternal lie

Yes the “Call of Cthulhu” LCG is headed to the deep down, to eternally lie, but unlike Cthulhu it is dead. Yes that’s right, Fantasy Flight Games has announced the death of the “Call of Cthulhu: The Card Game”. The tenth deluxe expansion for “Call of Cthulhu: The Card Game” will be the games last hurrah. The “Mark of Madness” expansion focuses primarily on the “mind-warping prowess of the Hastur faction” and “provides a significant boost to the Terror struggle and the game’s signature mechanics for insanity”. Sadly for lovers of the LCG it also terminates the game, but on the upside Fantasy Flight also added in the following:

Looking ahead, we will continue to gradually make all Asylum packs available through our in-house manufacturing division, The Factory, so that no Asylum Pack will go out of print. The six packs of the Dreamlands cycle are already available in that form. Eventually, when demand arises, we may also reprint the ten deluxe expansions. This year’s World Champion will still be able to design a card, and will recieve a limited production run of that card to keep and distribute among friends and community members.
