Cthulhu Tales storytelling card game
Who owns a Cthulhu Mythos based game? Come on, hands up, yeah you at the back too. Most of us, right? Yeah you too, you know you’ve got one! Well thanks to Cubicle 7 Entertainment another one is inbound, this time a storytelling card game and despite the Mythos being well and truly milked, this one sounds pretty interesting.
Cthulhu Tales – Looking pretty great.
In Cthulhu Tales you take the role of unwilling inmates of a fictional 1920s asylum or sanatorium. Using the cards as both inspiration and guide, you’ll take it in turns to make an accusation explaining why one of your fellow inmates, the Narrator, should be incarcerated
Cthulhu Tales. Yes another Cthulhu Mythos game, but maybe another winner?
“Cthulhu Tales” sees players trapped in a sanatorium at the turn of the century, err last century. You have to try and escape by showing the staff you’re not the nut they think you are. Problem is… CTHULHU! “Cthulhu Tales” comes to us from Francesco Nepitello and Marco Maggi, both with quite a bit of tabletop role-playing board game experience behind them.
That artwork and theme though…. nice
If “Cthulhu Tales” sounds familiar, you probably saw it on Kickstarter where it successfully funded a while back and has mere hours to go. When it hits a full market release, expect to pay around $40-$45 AUD. KS backer release is around July 2016, so we’ll probably see this one eek out to stores late next year.
It’s on our radars, is it on yours?
