It’s amazing how many tabletop game designers use Australiana as a basis for their games when they themselves are not Australian. It’s actually really testament to how cool our country is, that foreigners embrace the culture and use it in their design. Enter “Dingo’s Dreams”, the latest game on Kickstarter utilising Australiana, but not designed by an Aussie dev. The game comes to us from Red Raven games, based in Utah in the U.S.A. Check out the blurb from the game below:
Dingo and his friends have gotten lost on Walkabout! Visit their dreams to lead them home! From Alf Seegert, the designer of Fantastiqa, Trollhalla, the Road to Canterbury, with colorful illustrations by Ryan Laukat, designer/illustrator of The Ancient World and Eight-Minute Empire: Legends.
Dingo’s Dreams is a delightful and clever family game for 2-4 players. Each player competes to be the first to successfully guide his animal through the dream world. Easy to learn, but challenging to master! Includes simplified rules for younger children and tougher challenges for experienced players.
Dingo’s Dreams more Australiana on Kickstarter – So pretty.
Their Kickstarter has one week left and has already well surpassed its goal, but if you want to give it some support, head on over to the Dingo’s Dreams Kickstarter page and back their project.
In a little irony though, don’t expect to see Australia listed in the shipping prices, we think we got clumped in with “Everywhere Else”.
Some sweet Australian art work from the company in Utah, U.S.A.
