Fast and Fhtagn sequel to Cthulhu 500 coming March 2016
Lost sanity writing this post, just so you know. Atlas Games has
jumped on the Cthulhu bandwagon once again announced yet another Cthulhu-themed game, a racing game. Yeah, you read it right a RACING GAME. WTF?
The Fast and Fhtagn .. SANITY LOSS!
“Fast & Fhtagn” (yeah you see what they tried to do there) comes to us from designer Jeff Tidball (“Pieces of Eight”, “Mercante”, “Cults Across America”) and is essentially a mashup of The Fast and the Furious and the Cthulhu Mythos. It is also apparently a sequel to “Cthulhu 500”, also by Tidball, back in 2004.
Last month Atlas Games stated on Twitter:
Fast & Fhtagn is indeed the sequel to Cthulhu 500. Possibly to be followed by “C3lhu 500,” “Fast 4 Cthulhu” and “5Fast&5tagn.” Or something.
Players take on the roles of street racers (hoons) racing against uhh… Mythos cars. Mod your vehicles, try and get to the finish line on the ever changing track, before something slimy gets you… or something.
Fast and Fhtagn Cthuloid racing… yup Cthulhu Fast and the Furious. Vin D’Evil
A competitive card game with some silly tongue in cheek quips on the cards like “Fin Diesel” and Tcho Tcho Drift”, “Fast and Fhtagn” will appeal to a certain demographic.
“Fast & Fhtagn” as an US MSRP of $30, so probably around $40-$45 here in Australia. It’s due out in March, 2016.
