Tabletop Game News of the Week â Gameapalooza Round Up for 12 October through October 18, 2015
Iello had added promos to its online store, the catch, you get them when you pre-order upcoming products, specifically âSapiensâ and âThe Big Book of Madnessâ. We mentioned this in last weeks news update for âSapiensâ, now with the addition of âThe Big Book of Madnessâ, it seems like this is set to become a thing.
Greater Than Games is set to release âSpirit Islandâ in the third quarter of next year. The game is a cooperative area-control title around the theme of elemental spirits. The spirits inhabit âSpirit Islandâ and itâs up to players to shoo away those pesky colonial settlers. Not a short game with an estimated play time of 90-120 minutes, but it has a little buzz around it due to its Kickstarter campaign. One for the periphery.
Spirit Island from Greater Than Games… stop those pesky colonists!
âCrabs Adjust Humidityâ gets a boxed set version of its âCards Against Humanityâ – unofficial – expansion. The box contains 560 cards, or all five expansion decks. If youâre on the lookout for it itâs called the âCrabs Adjust Humidity: Omniclaw Editionâ and it retails for $50USD.
Z-Man Games and Pretzel (sister company) highlighted a few new projects this past week, including âCarcassonne: Over Hill and Daleâ, âFlick âem Up: Stallion Canyonâ expansion, âRussian Railroadsâ expansion âGerman Railroadsâ and finally âThunder and Lightningâ (very very frightening – Ed.), a card game based on Norse mythology, specifically Thor and his pals in Asgard.
Cheapass Games is back with more Doctor Lucky! Theyâve added a new âDeluxe 19.5th Anniversary Edition of Kill Doctor Luckyâ to, you guessed it, Kickstarter. The game features revised rules, new artwork and of course just looks more modern (given the first edition released back in 1996). You can check out âDeluxe 19.5th Anniversary Edition of Kill Doctor Luckyâ on Kickstarter and youâve got loads of time as itâs got 29 days to go at time of writing (and is already way over funded).
Miniatures board game âRivals Masters of the Deepâ is back up on Kickstarter. This one looks beautiful and runs for another 29 days (at time of writing). It had a few problems the first time, will you be backing it this time? Thereâs a lot of buzz around this one, because, those minis, wow.
Rivals of the Deep from World of Rivals. You can’t say those aren’t nice minis.
Gale Force Nine announced the title of its upcoming âDoctor Whoâ board game this week and that title is, get ready for it, because it doesnât exactly roll off the tongue âDoctor Who: Time of the Daleks â A Web of Time Gameâ. Itâs set to release early next year. As a huge âDoctor Whoâ fan, canât help but still feel âmehâ for this one.
