RIP MTG artists Christopher Rush and Wayne England
It’s been a sad week for hardcore Magic: The Gathering” fans, with the deaths of two well known artists. Christopher Rush and fellow artist Wayne England passed away a day apart this week. Details regarding both deaths have not been released.
News of England’s passing was posted to Facebook by his friend Mark Aronowitz. England is probably best known for his work with Games Workshop / Warhammer magazine and the iconic White Dwarf magazine. He also did a lot of work on Wizards of the Coast’s “Magic: The Gathering”.
Christopher Rush too worked on “Magic: The Gathering”, illustrating the illustrious Black Lotus card as well as many others in the earlier releases.
Rush died on February 10, 2016, one day after fellow “Magic: The Gathering” artist Wayne England.
As one of the team’s gran used to say “You never know the minute”, both fairly young guys. Grab life while you can folks.
