Vikings on Board from Blue Orange Games releasing August
Vikings seem to be a fairly hot property this last year and there’s more to come, this time from Blue Orange Games. “Vikings on Board” is set to make a showing at Gen-Con this year, a worker-placement game that sees players taking on the roles of viking leaders. Control the ships in the harbor and you’ll be a mighty leader! Here’s the full blurb from Blue Orange:
Prepare yourself for the season of exploration! Vikings on Board is a big box, family strategy game in which you will use your Viking tokens to claim actions on the board which best benefit your clan’s voyage. The ships are composed of several different segments, which switch from ship to ship based on the actions you claim. Your goal is to have the most of your clan’s pieces on a ship when it set sail, to claim the biggest portion of its points. Pay close attention: your rivals will be eager to change the composition of your ships, as well as the value of their merchandise!
Vikings on Board… tee hee.. geddit… ships.. board game…
Blue Orange have a few games releasing this year, including “Cup of Bluff”, “Rooster Run”, “Sold Out” and the interesting looking “Kaboom”. We were big fans of “New York 1901” so hopefully “Vikings on Board” will continue the trend of great gateway games from the company.
