Hasbro to re-release Pie Face game
Remember this video that did the viral rounds awhile back? Seems like Hasbro blinked and saw dollar signs because they’ve acquired the rights to manufacture and distribute the “Pie Face” game. “Pie Face” by Rocket Games will launch in multiple markets including the U.K. and U.S. this fall.
If you’re not familiar with the video, the premise of the “pie face’ tabletop game is simple, players take it in turns to lean their head forward through a mask, wherein there’s a hand full of whipped cream (not included) sitting on an arm mechanism in front of the players face. Spin the spinner and crank the mechanism that many times. Eventually the tension becomes so much BAM! One of the players gets hit with whipped cream “Pie Face”.
Viral video of grandad and grandson playing Pie Face means it gets a revival.
The PIE FACE game includes the throwing arm, chin rest, splash guard mask, spinner and sponge. Available for ages 5 and up, the PIE FACE game will be available in the U.S. in October for an approximate retail price of $19.99 at most major retailers nationwide and at HasbroToyShop.com. The PIE FACE game was previously distributed by Esdevium Games, a UK-based distributor of games, collectibles and toys both domestically and across Europe.
Put your face in the hole and get creamed! We’re sure there’s a dirty joke in there, but we won’t, it’s PIE FACE!
"We saw the overwhelming response to the video of a family playing the PIE FACE game on social media and heard from many of our fans asking for the game," said Jonathan Berkowitz, vice president of global marketing and strategy for Hasbro Gaming. "We are always listening to our fans to deliver the most exciting and fun gaming experiences, and thanks to the team at Rocket Games, we are thrilled to bring the game to new markets in just a few months."
We’ll try and nab a copy for review (want to send us one? Contact Us).. not at all so we can smash each other in the face with pies, honestly.
