Portal Games board games news for 2016 Lots coming from Portal Games in 2016.

First up we've got "First Martians: Adventures on the Red Planet", but don't get too excited for this one just yet, it's not set for release until Spiel (October) and then expect that usual post Spiel burn off before we see it in Australia. The trailer is a bit misleading, making this look like a video game, but essentially this is based on game "Robinson Crusoe: Adventures on the Cursed Island". Basically you have to try and survive the hostile Martian environment. We do like the idea of a custom campaign mode however, so we'll be keeping our eyes on this one for sure.

Next it's "The 51st State Master Set" a relaunch of 2010 title "51st State", a game that sees players building a tableau in a post apocalyptic America. The new release will feature all 88 cards from the original game, as well as the 50 cards from the New Era and Winter expansions. They've also made a few little tweaks to the gameplay to make it better. Pre-orders for the game are now open at the Portal Games website.

Lastly from Portal Games we have "Cry Havoc", from the three musketeers of Grant Rodiek ("Hocus", "Farmageddon"), Michal Oracz ("Neuroshima Hex!"), and Michal Walczak ("Five Families") and is a 2-4 player game in a science fiction setting. Players take on the roles of military leaders of four factions. Loads of miniatures and a whole lot of cards in this one.
