TL;DR Review Bring Out Yer Dead board game
Don't get excited, sadly the Bring Out Yer Dead board game from Upper Deck has nothing to do with Monty Python and the Holy Grail. It’s an area control / set collection board game in which players – as the head of a family – are trying to ensure their family members are laid to rest in the best cemetery plots. Problem is the graveyard is a busy place and if you screw it up the coffins might end up floating down the river.
Each plot in the cemetery generates a certain number of points. The strategy lay in trying to nab the best ones before the other player(s). Choose cards to play from your hand highest to lowest, highest snagging a good spot on the gravediggers cart.
“Bring Out Yer Dead” is a simple action selection / set collection game. We'd say it would be good for new players, but it never really grabbed us in the same way a game like Takenoko did. Bring Out Yer Dead isn't a great game, don’t be wooed by the amusing theme, give it a go before parting with your cash.
