7 Wonders Duel card game TL;DR Review
If you're into modern board games, chances are you own a game or have played a game called 7 Wonders, a game that can be played by 2, but it never really worked that great in the two-player variant. Enter the fix for that in the form of 7 Wonders: Duel. A smaller box than its big cousin, 7 Wonders: Duel is meant for just 2 players and that is a wonderful thing.
We won't go into the rules, this is a TL;DR review, we will say that the rules work great in 7 Wonders: Duel and it plays similarly to 7 Wonders albeit in a lighter – though not detrimentally – manner. Still a card drafting / set collection game, players build up their empire, advancing in military, science and civilisation building.
Advance your military, acquire great scientific knowledge or failing that, just winning by points. Whatever the case 7 Wonders: Duel is well worthy of a place on your game shelf. It managed to recreate the wonder of 7 Wonders, though perhaps not to the depth and level of that big box game. We'd still highly recommend this game. The gameplay is great, the quality is top notch and you can play with just two players.
