TL;DR Review Codenames deduction card game

Codenames deduction card game TLDR review

Codenames is a press-your-luck word game mixed with a game of deductive logic. Try and uncover the spies, without uncovering the assassin, all based on word clues. Whilst it's simple in premise and not overly thematic in nature, Codenames manages to be a really great little game. Codenames thinks outside of the box and puts a new twist on the word play genre.

If you're after a light word based game for groups 4+ definitely check out Codenames by Czech Games Edition when it releases properly later this year. Though it's only in English at time of writing, CGE is presently looking at bringing out the game in numerous languages, so far German (Heidelberger), Czech (MINDOK), Spanish (Devir) and Italian (Cranio Creations) versions are listed. This means loads more gamers can get in on the fun and well they should, we love it.

We can't help but think this one is destined for greatness, it's extremely clever and would work with various themes, not just the spy genre.
