Recall of Cthulhu game hits Kickstarter

Got small kids? Love the Cthulhu Mythos? Well we’re about to make your day. ToyVault’s latest game has just hit Kickstarter and it’s “a children’s memory matching game” cleverly titled “Recall of Cthulhu”. Yes ToyVault are trying to send our children insane, with a gorgeous looking – you might say adorable but don’t let Cthulhu hear you – game featuring some of the creepiest creatures from the Cthulhu Mythos.

Based on that classic mechanic of matching two flipped cards by remembering where they lay. “Recall of Cthulhu” is made for cultists Age 4 and up, which is awesome, because a lot of games start age 8 and up (the suggested age for the advanced version on this). Check out the blurb below:

The game can be played as a simple matching game, or the advanced game can be played which adds a small layer of complexity to the game.

Included in the game are 60 tiles representing 15 creatures, items, and places of the Cthulhu Mythos, as well as two player aids for playing the advanced game.

What better way of improving your memory for those dusty tomes of spells than a quick game of Recall of Cthulhu?

We love this idea and it’s great to see a tabletop game for the much younger audience. The artwork is adorable, which is kind of cool, given the grim subject matter. We’ll be backing “Recall of Cthulhu”, will you?
